Superdeporte: Barça want to sign Parejo and Rodrigo from Valencia

Rodrigo is expected to leave the club this summer and Parejo, who had a fantastic season for Los Che, is another player Valverde likes

Now that it appears clear Ernesto Valverde will continue at Barça for another year, it's time to sign players who the coach wants: Dani Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno both fit that requirement. The Valencia duo have been linked with moves to the Camp Nou for a while now but according to 'Superdeporte', Barça want to bring both in this summer.

The local newspaper claims Rodrigo and Neto are most likely to leave Mestalla in the upcoming weeks. Both players have performed well this season and have plenty of interest from some of Europe's richest clubs. Mateu Alemany, the director of football at Valencia, said: "There's a saying in football that's very true: footballers play where they want to. Valencia wants its footballers to be happy and focused on this club. Any offer which comes in has to be considered if it satisfies the club," he said.

Following the Copa del Rey victory, Rodrigo made a post which many felt was a farewell letter to the Valencia fans. Barça are keen to overhaul their striker options and look set to turn down Antoine Griezmann and instead sign Rodrigo.

It's a different story with Parejo. He's coming off the back of a wonderful season and Valverde is a massive fan of the midfielder. Whilst Rodrigo is expected to move for less than his €120m buyout clayse, Valencia will demand the full €50m for their captain. The signing of Parejo would free up Busquets, who has struggled to play every week.

Now it's up to Barça to make offers that Valencia simply can't refuse.
