Antoine Griezmann's names on everyone's lips at the start of his Barcelona career. One of the people who knows him the best is his former Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone, who spoke to Cadena Ser show El Larguero on Thursday.

Simeone revealed he's spoken with Griezmann recently: "I saw him a couple of days ago. He's really happy, obviously he is where he wanted to be. He has talent and he's going to be fine. He's a good person, humble, he will know how to enter the group dynamic in the right manner.

"He's a guy that doesn't talk much but gets involved a lot. He will slowly enter the group, step by step, calmly. He's a happy guy and I don't have doubts he will do well."

Griezmann's struggled a little bit in a new position on the left wing, with Luis Suarez playing through the middle and Lionel Messi on the right.

"That's a problem for Valverde, I have my own (problems)," Simeone added when asked about the connection between Griezmann and Messi and fitting them both into the side.

On Barça's team this season, he added: "They have a much more complete squad. They have four tremendous midfielders. Busquets, Arthur, De Jong, Rakitic! Rakitic says he doesn't want to stay for the beach along. Rakitic! Not playing. But it doesn't surprise me because football is very dynamic and as coaches wee look for the best for the team."
