Ivan Rakitic could be heading back to Sevilla after FC Barcelona reduced their demands for the player. Previously the Catalan giants asking price has put off many suitors and those who did show interest weren't deemed suitable for Rakitic.
With 12 months remaining on his current deal, and Barça not willing to offer him an extension, this is the last chance to cash in on the experienced midfielder before he could leave for nothing.
Sevilla are thought to be frontrunners for Rakitic's signature after he previously turned down moves to PSG and Juventus because he didn't want to move his family. The only obstacle to a return to southern Spain was Barça's asking price - and the player's wages. Now it's felt like a compromise on both aspects could be made this summer.
