Barcelona coach Quique Setien recognised that it was a sad night as La Liga escaped the team with a defeat against Osasuna.
"The feeling is sadness and frustration because the defeat is absolutely unjust," said Setien. "Maybe not having lost the league because we have left points behind (which we needed) to match our opponents' rhythm.
“Will I be the coach for the Champions League? I hope so but I don’t know. I agree with some things that Messi said. We need to be self-critical and improve.
“After the Alaves game we will have a few days off, the team will arrive rested and we must take on the Champions League in the best possible way, improving what we have done wrong.
“Self-criticism must come from everyone. I am the most responsible. I am convinced that we will be a different team, with a maximum attitude and that we will face the Champions League with a positive mindset."
