Quique Setien's Champions League debut ended with a 1-1 draw against Napoli on Tuesday and the Barcelona coach felt it was a good result.

Barça reacted to going a goal down by responding in the second half after the breakthrough Antoine Griezmann to leave the tie level heading into the second leg next month.

"It's true we struggled to create chances, we had control, but in the first half they defended really well and took advantage of their only chance," Setien said.

"We lacked something to get through the Napoli defence, it was not easy. The second half was different, there was more space and we got the draw as a result.

"They opened up, they pressed higher and we were able to do damage. I'd say it's a good result, a draw with an away goal is OK for the second leg."

The negative on the night was losing two players for the second leg. Sergio Busquets will be suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards and Arturo Vidal will also be banned after being sent off.

"We can win La Liga and the Champions League," the coach added. "It's true we've lost Busquets and Vidal for the return game but we will recover Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto (from injury).

"I'm one of those people that looks at things optimistically. We don't have many players, but there's no point complaining about it."
