Sergi Roberto had to leave the pitch on a stretcher due to a shoulder injury at the end of Barcelona's 4-0 win against Athletic Club at Camp Nou on Sunday.
The man from Reus, who had produced one of his best games in recent years and who scored the second Barça goal, was forced to leave the pitch late on.
Barça coach Xavi Hernandez had already exhausted the five changes he is permitted and Barça were left with 10 players for the final few minutes.
