Sergi Roberto's new Barça deal revealed as player takes big pay cut

Sergi Roberto will sign a one-year contract extension with Barcelona on Friday, keeping him at Camp Nou until June 30, 2023.

Roberto, who missed most of this season injured, has taken a big pay cut on his previous deals to be able to stay at Barca for an additional season.

The Spain international, who can also play at right-back, earns around €12 million annually net plus bonuses. SPORT have learned his new deal is worth €5m annually net with reduced bonuses.

 

It took a long time for Barça and Roberto to reach an agreement and there were moments it looked like he would leave, but he has finally agreed to stay.
