Serge Aurier has been linked many times with FC Barcelona. It's no secret the club were looking for a right-back until they signed Nelson Semedo and the Ivorian was one of the strongest links.
But, why didn't Aurier end up joining Barcelona? He has a theory about it. Aurier told Canal Plus in France: "We will see what happens in my future. I think my reputation made four or five big European sides afraid. I was negotiating with Barcelona, very advanced negotiations. And Barcelona's people were not sure if I came here things would be different."
He said at PSG "in some moments I felt like a prisoner, with a camera on my back".
