Nelson Semedo looked like he could leave Barcelona at one point earlier this summer but things have changed and he's now only looking forward to his third season at Camp Nou.

The Portugal right-back, who joined the club from Benfica in 2017, has rotated in and out of the team with Sergi Roberto for the last two years. But with Sergi Roberto set to play in midfield this season, and Moussa Wague promoted to be the backup right-back, Semedo looks set to become No.1.

"For me, it's really important to know that there are people that want me," he told Barça TV in Miami. "To know that your manager, your team and your president want you and want you to stay has been vital.

"I got to know Barça on TV. It's not an easy team to play in, because there are great footballers and the way of playing is different to other teams. However, I think with the help of the players and the coaches, I have improved a lot."
