Rivaldo is one of the people that has become a regular commenter on Barcelona's football. The legendary Brazilian analysed the triumph over Espanyol on Wednesday and dealt with the criticism aimed towards VAR too.
"In my opinion, the problem Barcelona has is not VAR or refereeing decisions. The main problem is the low quality of their football. They need to improve to get their style back and make the world fall in love again," said the Betfair ambassador.
"Bartomeu's quotes have different objectives but mainly they try to distract the media attention from the bad moment the team is living through.
"Real Madrid are not leaders because of VAR."
On Barcelona's Champions League campaign he said: "What worries me, seeing the low rhythm of the team, is the Champions, which should be the club's main objective. Without fans, with Napoli fired up, the last 16 return could be dangerous for Barcelona. If they qualify, they will have to improve for the final eight in Lisbon."
