A certain football concept links Quique Setien to Pep Guardiola. The latter, the best coach in the history of the club. The former, the man who has just arrived to take the reins. They met earlier this season in Manchester, on August 17.
Setien and his staff - currently without a team after their spell at Real Betis ended - went off to watch Man City v Tottenham and they met with Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Co.
Setien was with his assistant Eder Sarabia, his physical trainer Fran Soto and goalkeeper coach Jon Pascua.
"Nobility, passion, tradition, emotion, chivalry and respect," wrote Pascua on his Twitter account after the 2-2 draw.
In his time as Barca coach Pep had invited Setien to a training session too. They go back.
