Ex-players looking for attention in the media is getting tiresome. Emmanuel Petit is the latest. The former Barcelona player has come out and spoken about Lionel Messi, saying he doesn't think the Argentine could hack it in England.
"Honestly, I don't think Messi is made for the intensity of the Premier League," said Petit. "He wouldn't like them kicking him the whole time and pressing him, he's not used to it in Spain because he's protected. Messi is not Cristiano, he would fail in the Premier League.
"Without doubt it would be a pleasure for English fans to see him there but I don't see why a club like Man City, for example, would throw the kitchen sink (at Barca) to sign a Messi who is 32 or 33."
