For the first time, a Barcelona director has admitted the club are in talks to sign two new players. The players in question are Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.

General manager Pep Segura gave updates on the duo after the Super Cup loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday.

“We know that we have to strengthen the team and that’s what we will continue to do in the coming days,” Segura said on TV3.

“We have to help the team. We’re close [to Coutinho and Dembele], we’re talking about the conditions but until everything is finalised, we can’t say anything else. We hope they can wear a Barca shirt.”

Barca have already had two bids knocked back for Liverpool's Coutinho and one for Borussia Dortmund's Dembele.

It's likely both players will end up costing the Catalan club above 100 million euros.
