Former Barcelona player Pedro Rodriguez, now at Chelsea, has been critical of Barcelona's current policy with their youth team players.
In an interview on El Larguero on Cadena Ser, the Spain international said it's a shame the Catalan club are losing so many youngsters.
"We’re seeing a lot of kids leaving [La Masia] and, in my opinion, that’s a shame because I think [Barça] are losing the philosophy of the academy a little," he told Cadena Ser.
"Of course they’re still one of the world leaders in producing players, but years ago they were using those players in the first team more regularly.
"When I was there, we even had a whole side made up of La Masia graduates; it’s difficult to see that happening again today."
