Martin Braithwaite is officially an FC Barcelona player. The club deposited his buyout clause with LaLiga and agreed personal terms with the now-former Leganes forward. The only thing left to complete is the player's medical and his presentation will take place later this afternoon
Braithwaite signs a four-and-a-half-year deal and his buyout clause stands at €300m.
Leganes refused to negotiate the sale of their star striker so Barça were forced to pay his buyout clause of €18m. The club was allowed to make an emergency signing outside of the transfer window following Ousmane Dembele's injury which ruled the French winger out for five months. Braithwaite's agent and Barcelona have also reached an agreement for finding the Danish forward a new club in the summer.
