Napoli have been interested in signing Denis Suarez for some time. The Neapolitan side have, according to Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport, launched a new offensive for the Galician midfielder in the winter window. According to the newspaper the club's intention is to sign the player on loan, before a transfer in the summer.
'Mission Denis Suarez' ran the headline on the front page. They say Napoli president Aurelio di Laurentis has given the green light to the deal. They will do everything possible to fight for the Italian title. WIth Coutinho's arrival at Barcelona there is an 'overbooking' of attacking midfielders at Barcelona. However in Italy they say Barcelona have rebuffed Napoli's initia proposal.
