Midnight meeting between Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste and Mateu Alemany

The trio met after the thrashing by Bayern Munich for a discussion

Barcelona had another painful Champions League night, a 3-0 thrashing by Bayern Munich that showed they cannot compete with the European greats. The board is worried Joan Laporta held an urgent meeting with vice president Rafa Yuste and director of football Mateu Alemany after the game.

It finished just before 11pm, but it wasn’t until nearly 2am that Laporta, Yuste and Alemany left the stadium.

Barcelona did not have a single shot at goal and the team went back to 3-5-2 instead of the 4-3-3 Laporta asked for.

The president did not say anything to the media when he eventually left the stadium. We will have to see what they talked about…

Curiously Gerard Pique also left the stadium much later than usual, two hours after the game finished. It’s not known if he was part of the meeting.
