Barcelona's vice president, Jordi Mestre, accompanied Arturo Vidal during his official presentation as a new Barça player.
Mestre expressed his confidence in Vidal being a great signing for Barça following the important role the Chilean international held at his previous clubs.
"He's a player with immense experience at clubs of the highest level. We're sure he's going to bring a lot of positives to the team, both in terms of how we play as well as his intensity."
Mestre also pointed out the player's motivation to leave his mark on Barça and the role he played in signing for Barcelona. Vidal was close to joining Inter Milan before he got the call from the Camp Nou's offices.
"Arturo was determined to play here, just as we were to bring him in. He'll be the third Chilean to play for Barça after Claudio Bravo and Alexis Sanchez. We want him to represent the huge Chilean community we have in Barcelona," concluded Mestre.
