The Paris Saint-Germain dressing room is aware that Marco Verratti would like to leave the club this summer.
Keeping that in mind, some of his team-mates are trying to convince him to turn down Barça and to continue under the orders of Unai Emery, a coach he's never had a 'feeling' with.
Talking to Sportv, Brazilian defender Marquinhos said of Verratti's future: "I can't answer for him because it all depends on the negotiations, which, along with contract renewals, can go on for a long time."
However, he was optimistic that his team-mate will stay, adding "I think we are going to stay" in reference to his own personal situation, too.
"I have offers and I'm negotiating, but I am really happy in Paris. The club has a strong project and is always looking to bring in big players," he said.
"PSG are not a selling club, they have an important project which focuses on forming a base around a style of play."
Marquinhos himself was once the subject of Barça interest -- and may be again in the future -- but PSG's reluctance to sell saw the Catalan side eventually move for Samuel Umtiti.
