At Son Moix the goalkeeper came out a lot to work with his team-mates

Good with his hands and sublime with his feet, that's what you have to be to stand between the sticks for FC Barcelona, and it is also Marc-Andre ter Stegen's definition. His link with Barca, the city and the team, grows stronger, and he's one of the most respected voices in the dressing room.

He's a leader on and off the pitch and against Mallorca had an outstanding game, despite not having to make that many saves. His vision and precision helped the team convert the opponents' dangerous moments into Barcelona attacks.

At Mallorca, per Opta stats, Ter Stegen managed 94% pass accuracy, 64 from 68 balls A record never beaten since the 2005-06 season (at least, that's when stats began).

Ter Stegen played in an advance role, out of the box a lot, acting as a third centre-back, on top of Pique and Araujo.

He also played several good long passes - six to be precise that were accurate. With the Opta graphics we can see his passing map. He found Messi three times, De Jong and Rakitic twice each, and Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez five times each.

He also gave 26 balls to Araujo and 34 to Pique. Ter Stegen is part of the defence, he's Barca's third centre-back.
