Frenkie de Jong’s name has cropped up a lot lately in relation to a move away from Barcelona. With Gavi, Nico and Pedri’s appearances, some believe Barcelona could sell De Jong this summer. Xavi made clear ahead of the Espanyol game that he wants the Dutchman there and believes in him.
However, the Independent is continuing the speculation and claiming Manchester United are following him closely. They have the financial muscle to sign him.
Pogba’s contract is up at the end of the season and it seems unlikely he will renew his deal. De Jong is valued at 90 million euros and has a deal until 2026.
