Italian legend Paolo Maldini has said Marco Verratti should leave Paris Saint-Germain and sign for Barcelona to take the next step in his career.
"I think he would be better off leaving his actual team [PSG]," former Milan player Maldini said of his compatriot to calciomercatio.com. "He would be the perfect player for Barça and I don’t have any doubts that Barça is the perfect team for him."
Maldini has not doubts that Verratti's one of the best midfielders around at the moment. "He is a player I have a lot of appreciation for, an extraordinary player for what he gives on the pitch." added Maldini, who spent 25 years with Milan before retiring.

On Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma, the subject of Real Madrid interest, he recommended he stays where he is. "I'm nobody to tell him what to do, but I would recommend he continues with Milan," he said.
