Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman still wants Memphis Depay and the Catalan club have not given up on signing the Lyon player, even though the financial situation is difficult.
However, according to L'Equipe, the French club would be willing to drop their 25 million euro asking price before next week's transfer deadline.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said on Monday that the club want to close any outgoings before Friday so that all the players are focused on this weekend's game against Marseille.
Therefore, Barça must act this week if they want to land the forward that Koeman has targetted tro replace Luis Suarez, who joined Atletico Madrid last week.
