Lionel Messi has cancelled an appearance at an event in Cairo he was supposed to attend on Wednesday. The Argentine has scheduled a lightning visit to Egypt to appear in a campaign combatting Hepatitis C.
The idea was not to return with the team after playing PSG in Paris and instead to take a flight to Cairo. However after the club’s 4-0 defeat he decided to change his plans. He cancelled his appearance and flew back to Barcelona to train with his team-mates.
