Lionel Messi spoke about Philippe Coutinho and Yerry Mina, the latest Barcelona signings, and the departure of Javier Mascherano his friend and compatriot.
During a promotional event with Adidas, in which he presented his new Nemeziz boots, Messi said: "Coutinho and Yerry could have come in the summer but it wasn't to be, that's why they have come in winter.
"Mascherano went and this cente-back came (Yerry) to replace him and we are happy they can be here."
Coutinho made his debut on Thursday as Barcelona beat Espanyol in the Copa del Rey, while Mina was on the bench and is yet to feature.
