Leo Messi was on target again in Barcelona's game against Valencia on Saturday -- he's now scored 11 times in his last nine games.

The Barça captain scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-1 before halftime, beating Valencia goalkeeper Neto to his left.

Messi's current scoring streak started on Dec. 16 with a hat-trick against Levants (0-5) in La Liga. Since then, he's scored in every game he's played.

Celta, Getafe, Eibar, Levante (Copa), Leganes, Girona, Sevilla (Copa) and Valencia are the teams that have suffered against La Liga's top scorer (20 goals now).

Goal 580 with Barça, 67 penalties

Messi's goal against Valencia was his 580th for the club and his 67th from the penalty spot. It was the sixth penalty he's scored against Los Che. Only against one other team, Real Madrid, has he scored so many spot kicks.
