Joan Laporta presided over the 'Festa de Penyes' held this morning before the Joan Gamper Trophy. The head of FC Barcelona addressed the supporters and made several statements, including one on the possibility of Barça becoming a SAD. "I assume the commitment that, while I have the honour of being the president of Barça, our club will always belong to its members," said Laporta. Words that will no doubt give reason to cheer for the fans.

With the economic problems of the last few years, there was fear among the Barça supporters that such a conversion will happen. "Those who predicted bad omens, we did not listen to them. The Barça brand is once again very powerful, as we have seen on the tour. The sports department are doing a great job, I ask for a standing ovation for Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff", added the president, who himself received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Laporta also referred to the other concern of Barça fans. "It will be possible to register all the signings," he assured, although for now, La Liga has not allowed it. Barça's first team will face Pumas UNAM at Camp Nou at 20:00. The presentation will start at 19:15.
