Barcelona president Joan Laporta denied on Saturday that the club have started negotiations to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Speaking at a dinner for supporters' clubs, he said: "I deny that there's been any type of negotiation for Haaland."
On the reports of a meeting between Jordi Cruyff and Xavi Hernandez with Haaland in Munich this week, Laporta added "that is none of my business. It's a conversation between sportsmen without any type of negotiation."
The Barça chief was also asked about his relationship with Haaland's agent, Mino Raiola.
"I have a good relationship with Raiola, but if I want a player, I have to speak with their club," Laporta said.
Haaland, who is currently injured, has a €75 million release clause this summer and, in addition to Barça, is wanted by Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
