Another chapter in the saga surrounding Neymar’s future. The lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, a specialist in sports, was in charge of depositing, in the name of PSG and through a check, the 222 million euros buyout clause written into the Brazilian’s contract.
It’s the payment needed to break the player’s link with Barcelona and, therefore, to free him to sign for PSG. But La Liga, as Javier Tebas said they would, have rejected the payment. Dios Crespo, representing the French club, had to leave with his job unfulfilled.
Neymar is back in Barcelona after undergoing a medical in Porto on Wednesday, but is expected in Paris at some point on Thursday or Friday.
