LaLiga issued an official statement on Sunday about the sale of Barça Studios by FC Barcelona.
The Spanish football league issued a note confirming that it endorses FC Barcelona's operation of 49% of the assets that make up Barça Studios.
FULL STATEMENT
"With regard to the operation of sale of 49% of the assets of Barça Studios, and in view of some incorrect information appearing in the media and social networks, LALIGA wishes to clarify:
1. FC Barcelona submitted to LALIGA the contracts for the sale of shares in one of its companies, recorded in a public deed before a notary and authorised by its partners at a General Assembly.
2. The operation set out in the aforementioned contracts has been reviewed by FC Barcelona's auditor and accepted for inclusion in the Club's accounts.
3. The operation included a first payment that was correctly paid.
Therefore, LALIGA can only scrupulously apply the regulations in force and accept the said transaction authorised by the Club's members, in the terms set out in the Club's Accounts and following the criteria set out by the auditors.
It should be recalled that in application of these regulations, and as soon as it became aware that part of the fixed price had not been paid, LALIGA proceeded to reduce the Club's player registration capacity, which is still reduced to this day".
