Kuipers refereed Liverpool v Barcelona last season, where the Catalans collapsed 4-0 at Anfield. The Dutch referee is one of those chosen for important games in recent season. He was in charge of the 2014 UCL final where Madrid beat Atletico in Lisbon and did the Europa League final the previous year.
