Junior Firpo played in his first Champions League gamea for Barca and he was pleased with the 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
"It took a while, my debut in the Champions League, but in the end it came," he said. "I really wanted to because it's a nice competition and I always want to play in games like this. Without doubt it was a great night.
"To see the Camp Nou full and play a great game and qualify was very important for us. Before the game we said it was a really important three points and we had 45 great minutes against a great opponent and for that reason I'm happy and satisfied."
Firpo was impressed with Messi on his 700th appearance.
"You always want him by your side, and I hope to play half the number of games he has with Barca," added Firpo. "He's incredible because he never lowers his level and it's amazing to have him to enjoy all he does with the ball and for the team."
