FC Barcelona vice-president, Jordi Cardoner, was one of the club's representatives at the Diada de Catalunya alongside Gerard Pique.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Lionel Messi was free to leave the club at the end of the season. "We're calm. He brings a lot of positives to our dressing room. Leo will do what he feels is best but his contract is special because he is. It's a concession we made for him and other players that deserve it. He can enter and leave the club whenever he decides to. I'd love for him to stay in our team as long as he's able to play football."

Another matter of debate is whether Barça will try and sign Neymar again in January or next summer. "He was happy here. Most players, if not all of them, are happy at Barcelona. Neymar's story we have to leave to one side and wait and see what happens. Right now we're competing in LaLiga and Neymar is something we need to move on from," insisted Cardoner.
