Ivan Rakitic's wife, Raquel Mauri, has come to the defence of the Croatian midfielder after he was once again left on the bench for Barça's match against Inter Milan.
Cadena SER journalist Manu Carreño claim that "you can't treat a player worse" when referring to Rakitic's situation at Barça. Raquel shared that article, alongside a personal comment of her own. "And even then, your Ivan Rakitic doesn't give up. He's an example of consistency, hard work and professionalism. That's why I love you. You're great and no one can change you."
Ernesto Valverde opted for Arturo Vidal instead of Rakitic and the Chilean turned the match around for Barça.
