Andrés Iniesta, the Barcelona captain, has not confirmed that he has reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona over an extension to his contract.
Iniesta, who has returned to Barcelona, with the other Spanish internationals was asked by the media for his opinion after the Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, announced that the club had reached an agreement with the player. In an interview with SPORT, Bartomeu had said that “Andrés has to retire at Barça”.
