Junior Firpo has been added to Barcelona's injury list. The left-back ended Tuesday's session with a muscle problem and has been withdrawn from the squad to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"Tests undertaken this morning have confirmed a muscle injury to his hamstring," Barça said in a statement. "His availability to return to action will be assessed according to his recovery."
Junior was set to start against Inter with Jordi Alba also injured. Ernesto Valverde, therefore, has been left without a recognised left-back for the game.
Nelson Semedo is likely to play in the position, as he did against Borussia Dortmund when Alba got injured. Sergi Roberto will drop back to right-back from midfield.
Summer signing Junior, who joined from Real Betis, has played 234 minutes for Barça this season across four games and scored in the weekend's win against Getafe,
Barça will hope to have him back for Sunday's league game against Sevilla at Camp Nou, their final fixture before October's international break.
