Ernesto Valverde has confirmed that goalkeeper Neto will make his competitive debut for Barcelona in Tuesday's Champions League game against Inter at the San Siro.

Neto arrived from Valencia in the summer as a replacement for Jasper Cillessen but has not yet featured in an official game.

The Brazilian stopper took part in the club's preseason, which included the tour of the United States, but has been kept out by Marc-Andre ten Stegen ever since.

"Neto will play tomorrow," Valverde said in a press conference on Monday. "He is a great player who has not played yet, but he will play (against Inter)."

Neto missed the first few weeks of the season after undergoing surgery on his hand. His place on the bench was taken by Iñaki Peña, who has also travelled to Milan with the first team.
