Gerard Pique didn't miss the chance to take a pop at Espanyol after Barca's 4-0 win in Cornella.

"It was a decaffeinated derby because of the result," said Pique. Asked about his comments about Espanyol not being from Barcelona in January and instead being from Cornella, he said: "I still think the same but I'm not going to talk about it."

He joked about going forward to try and score. "I usually try to attack when the game is won to see if I can grow my number of goals. I was in form and I wanted to score again!"

Pique also praised Lionel Messi. "He makes normal what for the rest of the players would be exceptional."

"Luka Modric won (the Ballon d'Or) and we have to congratulate him but it's a bit strange because Messi gives stunning performances day after day, which no other player does."
