Inter Milan’s interest in Lionel Messi is back on the front pages because of some quotes from former Inter and Empoli striker Eder, now at Jiangsu Suning.
Eder has dared to say that Inter’s owner, the company Suning, could buy Lionel Messi if they want him because they have so much money that they could convince him to come - despite the fact he wants to finish his career with Barcelona.
Eder told Gazetta dello Sport: “The feeling of Suning being an empire is very clear. They have turned Inter into a family business. When they bought Inter they set goals and that is what they are doing.
“They talked about growth, but without promising either the league or the Champions League. Suning can make any dream come true in football, even signing Messi.
“If Suning really wanted it they could make any dream come true. The financial factor is important for Spanish footballers too… if Ronaldo came to Juventus…”
