Barcelona defender Gerard Pique will miss the match against Valencia on Nov. 26 at Mestalla, the 13th game of the La Liga season.

Pique picked up his fifth booking of the season at Leganes on Saturday in the 29th minute after fouling Amrabat.

Referee Undiano Mallenco quickly booked the Catalan centre-back. Although it was a slightly harsh decision, it was also difficult to argue with.

Unless Barça decide to appeal, Pique will miss the game against second-placed Valencia due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

He was booked against Alaves for handball, against Getafe for a foul on Molina, against Las Palmas for a foul on Calleri and against Athletic for a foul on Aduriz.

With Mascherano injured, Valverde is likely to go with Umtiti and Vermaelen at Mestalla next Sunday.
