Espanyol left-back Adrian Pedrosa has been blasted by his own fans for swapping shirts with Lionel Messi after the team’s 2-0 defeat by Barcelona on Saturday.

It’s a normal gesture but Espanyol fans were angry after their derby defeat and let the 20-year-old know about it on social media.

“Traitor,” “Disgusting cocksucker,” “you’re a Judas”, “disgusting dog”, “cocksucker” were some of the barbaric phrases used to blast the defender by his own supporters.

Barca defender Gerard Pique, who is usually the brunt of Espanyol fans' anger, joked about how their supporters are 'creative' with chants and insults during a recent TV appearance.
