Barcelona are LaLiga champions for a 27th time after beating Espanyol 4-2 at RCDE Stadium on Sunday.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice and there were also goals for Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde as Barca took a four-goal lead.

Javi Puado and Joselu pulled goals back for Espanyol but Barca held on to win the title at the home of their rivals.

The match ended in unsavoury scenes though as Espanyol fans breached the pitch to break up Barca's celebrations.

Barca started well and took the lead in the 11th minute when Lewandowski turned home Balde's cross.

Balde then added the second himself when he converted Pedri's far post cross to make it 2-0 after just 20 minutes.

Lewandowski's second of the night -- and 21st in LaLiga this season -- took the game out of the sight before the break after good work from Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha.

Kounde added the fourth in the 53rd minute, heading home his first Barça goal from De Jong's lofted pass.

Espanyol finally came into the game and pulled back late goals through Puado and Joselu but it was too little, too late as Barça clinched their first league title since 2019.
