Marc Cucurella has been one of the sensations of the league season so far on loan at Eibar from Barcelona. The left-back has been playing left wing and Eibar are thinking about buying him at the end of the season, or so says sporting director Fran Garagarza.
Talking to Catalunya Ràdio show 'Tot Costa', Garagarza said: "Seeing the performance of the boy and his quality, if they asked me now what I would do, I would tell you that we would pay the option to buy," said Garagarza. "(Which is) far less than 5 million euros."
"His performance has surprised us. We followed him, we watch the youth team games a lot. We didn't sign him thinking he would be a winger but a full-back to battle with Cote.
"I want to thank Barca and above all Ramon Planes for his help in this deal, which happened two days before the market closed."
