Nothing is going right for Pop Segura at the minute. After his controversial comments on Piqué’s own goal against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Super Cup, after the second leg Barça’s general manager wanted to restore a bit of optimism to the club and claimed Dembélé and Coutinho were close to joining. However, Dortmund’s CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, hit back immediately.

According to the German magazine Kicker, the two clubs are not close to a deal and certainly haven’t move any closer to a deal in the last few days. “Not a millimetre closer,” were the words reported by Kicker. He also said that Barça and Dortmund have not spoken for at least 9 days.

Dembélé’s future is still up in the air and the player is still in France awaiting news. Borussia Dortmund are not lowering their demands and are waiting for Barça to blink.
