The Uruguayan forward scored a wonderful backheel goal against Mallorca but it won't have come as a surprise to his teammates

Luis Suarez's magical goal against Mallorca will go down in history. The perfect backheel strike surprised the Mallorca keeper, Reina, and generated gasps throughout the crowd at the Camp Nou. Suarez himself admitted that it was the best goal he'd scored and said that it was something he's wanted to do before.

"I knew I didn't have much of an angle to aim at. The only choice I had was to hit it hard with my ankle so that it would it catch out the goalkeeper," he explained following the contest. Since then we've seen older footage of Suarez of trying to score a backheel in training. On that occasion, the ball was in the air but it still ended with the same result: the ball in the back of the net.

Practice makes perfect, it seems.
