Dembele admits there has been contact with Barça's sporting director

Osama Dembele, one of the stars of France's 3-2 win over England on Tuesday, spoke to the media after the game in Paris and was asked about the interest from Barcelona. 

The Borussia Dortmund player admitted there has been contact with the Catalan club. "Last year I was in contact with the sporting director [Robert Fernandez]," he said but he didn't want to go any further than that regarding this summer. Samuel Umtiti has already said Barça are looking for a player like Dembele. 

Borussia Dortmund signed the winger for 15 million euros but his value is now thought to be close to 100 million euros. "I'm good at Dortmund, I have a contract until 2021 and I don't pay attention to anything that's being said," he added. 

Dembele, 20, played for Rennes before joining Thomas Tuchel at Dortmund. Barça also tried to sign him but the player opted for a move where he was guaranteed to play regular football, something he feared not possible at Camp Nou with Messi, Suarez and Neymar to compete with. 

Dortmund signed him and went on to win the German Cup. During the season he played 32 games and scored six goals.
