Coutinho withdrawn from Barça squad at eleventh hour

Phillipe Coutinho was named in a squad list for the first time in 8 months earlier today. He had been passed fit to play by the club's doctors and was expected to get minutes against Juventus in the prestigious Joan Gamper Trophy.

However, despite initially being named in the squad, the club has since reported that the player has been withdrawn from the squad and will instead watch the game from the stands. No explanation has been given for his absence.

Sergio Aguero, Gavi, Frenkie De Jong and Lenglet have also missed the game through injury.
