Barcelona have been drawn against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. The matches will take place on the 6th and 27th February.
Barça were in the draw thanks to a 6-1 thrashing of Sevilla after losing the first leg 2-0 at the Sanchez-Pizjuan.
This is their nineth consecutive semi-final appearance. No side in the history of the competition has matched that record, nor the five consecutive finals which Barça have played in to date. This is another chance for the side to make history which is exactly what Lionel Messi and his teammates hope to do.
It's been 23 perfect knockout rounds for Barcelona. The last time they were beaten over two legs in the tournament was against Real Madrid (1-1, 1-3) in the 2012/13 semi-finals.
Since the 2009/10 season under Pep Guardiola, where the team were eliminated in the Last 16 by Sevilla, Barça have always reached at least the semi-final stage. They've been involved in 7 finals and won 5 of them.
