Chelsea could battle Barcelona for Porto left-back Alex Telles

The English side have ruled out Chilwell because of Leicester's demands

Chelsea will rival Barcelona for the possible signing of Alex Telles, the Brazilian full-back who is one of the four signings targetted by the Catalan club for this summer.

Premier League side Chelsea are after a left-back and were interested in Leicester City's Ben Chilwell. However, the cost of the England international is too high, with the Foxes demanding in the region of 90 million euros, citing Manchester United's signing of Harry Maguire last year as a reference.

A more economical option for the London side is Telles, who is valued at around 40 million. He has a contract with Porto until 2021 and the Portuguese club will sell this summer to avoid losing him for free the year after.

Telles, 27, is also a target for Barça, who want to make a number of signings this summer to strengthen Quique Setien's squad.

The third option for Frank Lampard's Chelsea is Marc Cucurella, who Getafe would demand 25 million euros from. They signed the Barça left-back last summer for just six million.
