There has been a change of plans with Luis Suarez. An operation has been ruled out after talks with the player. The medical services at Barcelona have committed to solving the problem with the cyst on the player's knee using a more conservative method.
Suarez had the intention to undergo an operation to remove the cyst on his right knee in November, taking advantage of the international break. Barça supported the player's decision as the surgery for such a problem is not serious.
However, after evaluating the situation again, the medical team feel a more conservative method would be better, in line with what has been suggested by Uruguay's medical chief Alberto Pan.

Pan said the operation was not in the plans. "There is no need to generate a problem when it doesn't exist -- as of today, he does not need it," he said.
